About Me
Colin Bussing — tattoo artist, visual storyteller, and full-time hype man for people stepping into their most confident selves.
I’ve been obsessed with art and human psychology for as long as I can remember. That obsession turned into a mission: to create tattoos that are more than beautiful — they’re deeply you. I use my background in music therapy and psychology to dig deeper during consultations and bring out stories you didn’t even know were waiting to be told
My work blends bold neo traditional color, painterly flow, and Japanese composition — always crafted with longevity, body movement, and personal meaning in mind. Whether you’re getting a full leg sleeve or a mid-size banger, I create art that’s meant to move with you, not just sit on you.
I currently work out of my private studio in Syracuse, NY and travel for conventions and guest spots across the country. My goal? Make every client feel like they walked out wearing armor.
Education & Experience
No trophies on the shelf — but I’ve been in the rooms where mastery is made.
While I haven’t entered many contests (yet), I’ve spent the last few years immersed in every opportunity to grow beyond the chair. I’ve trained with some of the best minds in the tattoo world — learning from legends like Bobby Johnson, Gian Karle, and Zach Singer, and expanding my skills through advanced courses with platforms like Eden EDU and Model Citizen with Deanna James and Jon Nelson!
I’ve also traveled to elite conventions like the Flower City Summer Invitational, pushing myself through live tattoo sessions, feedback rounds, and immersive experiences with fellow professionals. Every piece I create today is sharpened by the hours I’ve poured into learning, evolving, and striving for the kind of excellence that lasts decades — not just the first healed photo.
